  • IV Therapy is a method of medication administration through a vein using either a peripheral IV, or a central venous access device. 
  • It depends on the type of treatment that you are receiving and how well your body tolerates it. We will go over this information with you when we schedule your appointment.
  • Upon arrival to your appointment, you will be greeted by one of our care team members and checked in for your appointment. During the check in process, we will we verify your insurance information, collect a co-pay if necessary, and make sure all your information is up to date in our system. We will then take you back to our infusion suite where a registered nurse will collect some more information and get your vital signs. The registered nurse will educate you on the infusion you are to receive and verify that all your questions have been answered. An IV will then be placed and pre-medications will be administered. You will be closely monitored throughout the entire infusion and if there are no complications or reactions you will be discharged with verbal and written instructions. You will also be scheduled for your next infusion.
  • We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and avoiding sleeves that are tight. If you happen to have a port we recommend wearing a button down shirt to allow for easier access. 
  • Yes! Please bring any food you might like to enjoy. We also have snacks to provide as well.
  • We never want patients to feel like they can’t afford to get their treatment. Let us know about your concerns and we will help you to navigate the many financial assistance programs available to you.
